 Warning: Graphic Images

These 4' x 8' sliding closet doors hide a world of sins: a row of metal shelving containing all of my paint and plaster materials. I wanted to keep it "simple", but also showcase multiple designs and large-scale patterns. I decided to do a graphic paint treatment in a limited color palette based on colors found in the speckled vinyl floor. I chose to use Affinity Colors in the Aura paint line from Benjamin Moore. I LOVE this paint! It goes on nicely, covers great and dries quickly. The colors used here are AF65, 95, 100, 150, 155. One of the main ideas behind the Affinity Color Collection is that ALL of the colors coordinate, no matter how you combine them.
Each of the patterns was applied over the designated basecoat and then "sealed" with two quickly rolled on coats of water-based satin varnish. Sealing the pattern ensures that your edges will be nice and "crispy", without paint run-unders that you will have to touch up later. It's WORTH it!
