Virtual Workshops are web-based instruction that combines recorded video lessons, detailed printed manuals, a private message board, and a live webinar for review/Q&A with Melanie Royals.
Our goal is to make our Virtual Workshops parallel an actual classroom experience as closely as possible through prerecorded video lessons, quality written coursework, instructor support, and group interaction. Students have the opportunity to purchase all products used at discounted prices and reproduce the featured samples at their own pace.
This long awaited and highly anticipated Virtual Workshop will be available beginning September 4, 2010. Patterned Mirror and Glass will teach you a wide range of unique and useful techniques for the custom decoration of mirror and glass surfaces, including:

• Reverse Gilding with Mica Powders, Metal Leaf, and Antiquing Effects
• Reverse Distressing and Painting with a Variety of Mediums
• Basic Mirror Patination
• Patterned Mirror Patination with Modello® Patterns and Textural Treatments
• Graphic and Distressed Finishes
• Applied Pattern with Metallic Foils and Plasters
• Incorporating Crackle Techniques with Glass and Mirror
• Finishing and Installation
These techniques can be used on everything from framed art pieces to furniture and tabletops, from backsplashes to counters, from French doors to cabinet doors, as well as functional custom mirrors and much more!
